I think a good argument could be made that the Democratic party is in principle the more supportive party towards gays and gay rights. Conversely, Republican legislators most consistently vote against gay marriage and other gay rights.
So why is it all the closeted gays turn out to be Republicans? Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) being the latest.
Don't play Barney Frank. He never hid his orientation.

If Sen. Craig is gay, he apparently is satisfied with the obvious truth that the rights he enjoys are no different than anyone else's in this country. On the average, gays and lesbians are by far more affluent than the average American. They are lying to the world when they claim they are being trampled upon by the law. Sen. Craig just might now be embarassed that his sin has been found out by the world...of course, the Lord always sees what we're up to. I hope the Senator will face up to that truth and repent. God will take him back if he comes home with a broken spirit and a contrite heart. I pray that will happen. Read Psalm 51.
