The White Temple of Chiang Rai

It's true name is Wat (temple) Rong Khun. A mixture of Buddhist and Hindu architecture was built in 1997. It was damaged by a nearby earthquake in May 2014, but aside from cosmetic damage was found to be structurally sound.

It is a temple like none I've ever visited. Starting with the artist's depiction of hell it takes one along a life's journey toward Nirvana (not the band).

It is, as you can see, visually stunning.
